Choose a plan on Shopify's hosted pricing page and approve read-only access to orders, returns, refunds, and products. Returns Intelligence does not replace your returns portal or change the shopper experience.
Confirm your return window
On Welcome, confirm the number of days your team uses to observe returns. The dashboard hides or flags order cohorts that have not had enough time to mature.
Let Shopify history prepare
The first import runs in the background. You can leave the app and return later; Welcome and Overview show progress while monthly history is prepared.
Open the money view
Start with the store-wide return-cost total, then review the SKUs costing the most and the leading reasons items come back.
Investigate one product
Open Focus, choose a SKU or product family, and read the monthly cohort return-rate chart. Each point is tied to the month the item was sold, not simply the month it came back.
Turn the insight into a routine
Monitor the SKUs that matter, configure the weekly digest, and use alerts, exports, sale-event analysis, deeper history, or Amazon FBA analytics when your plan includes them.
